A few of my favorite books : "This is Soul on Ice by Eldridge Cleaver: The prison memoirs of Black Panther activist Eldridge Cleaver that shocked, outraged, and ultimately changed the way America looked at the Black experience." This book played a major role in my coming of age. Cleaver is so meticulous in describing the evils and virtue that swirl around in the black psyche. Not only is the writing fantastic its just so vivid that its scary, he invited us into his mind and thoughts without fear; all the good, bad, beautiful and; ugly thoughts one could imagine. He finds his serenity rooted in education while surrounded by prison life and racial turmoil..Brilliant
